The Story Behind COTDesk
Trading wasn’t easy. Not even close.
It’s lonely. It tests your patience, your confidence… and if you’re not ready, it can break you.
For years, I bounced from strategy to strategy, searching for something real—something that actually works. And one piece of the puzzle that finally clicked for me? COT data (Commitment of Traders reports).
Here’s the catch: the raw CFTC reports are a nightmare to read. Complex, heavy, and overwhelming. Even the “pretty” online versions didn’t help much—too much noise, too little clarity.
So I built my own solution.
I created a private COT indicator that filters out the noise and shows only what really matters—clean, simple, and visual. Something even beginners can understand.
Over time, this tool became a cornerstone of my trading approach. And now? I’m sharing it… for free
Why COTDesk Exists
- Raw COT data is confusing. Hard to read, harder to interpret quickly.
- Most formatted data still overwhelms. Traders struggle to see what actually moves the markets.
COTDesk fixes that. It filters out the clutter, highlights key positions, and turns complex reports into actionable insights. No confusion. No overload. Just the info that counts.
I built it during one of the toughest periods of my trading journey. Now, I’m sharing it with you.
And that’s not all—COTDesk also gives regular updates on the best trading opportunities. Weekly gainers, losers, what’s driving the moves, and how to benefit from them—explained in a simple, practical way.
Welcome to COTDesk. Let’s make trading a little clearer (and a lot more fun).

The Story Behind COTDesk Indicators
This is a simple timeline showing the key stages in my personal development of the COTDesk indicators.
In 2010, I created my first COT indicator for personal use to better understand the positioning of large market participants.
In 2026, I decided to share the COTDesk indicators with other traders and the broader trading community.
This is only the beginning — the story of COTDesk and its development continues.
